چکیده
With the development of data-intensive internet services, world has witnessed explosive growth in mobile data consumption during last couple years. The upcoming generation 5G-capable phones and networks will continue even accelerate that process. At same time, consumers are becoming more conscious about their because monthly caps plans can be easily exhausted by premium content, such as high-definition videos virtual-reality games. In response, network operators (MNOs) have proposed a new business model, so-called sponsored plans, to subsidize transferring at least part bills from content providers. Although industry practitioners claim increase consumer welfare, our analysis reveals impact on surplus depends crucially whether MNO complete information consumers’ valuation data. Our helps provide clearer picture while reconciling conflicting views scholars, digital rights groups, carriers.

Data-driven Inverse Optimization with Incomplete Information
In data-driven inverse optimization an observer aims to learn the preferences of an agent who solves a parametric optimization problem depending on an exogenous signal. Thus, the observer seeks the agent’s objective function that best explains a historical sequence of signals and corresponding optimal actions. We formalize this inverse optimization problem as a distributionally robust program m...
متن کاملQuerying Linked Geospatial Data with Incomplete Information
Linked geospatial data has recently received attention, as researchers and practitioners have started tapping the wealth of geospatial information available on the Web. Incomplete geospatial information, although appearing often in the applications captured by such datasets, is not represented and queried properly due to the lack of appropriate data models and query languages. We discuss our re...
